Beyond the Gate
Released: March 1st, 2006
Type: album
Duration: 47:38
Beyond the Gate is the third album produced by Moi dix Mois (although some refer to it as an extended play because the original doesn't feature instrumentals). The music is much different in this one, one of the most obvious reasons as to why being that the lineup changed drastically before its release.

Thoughts
Beyond the Gate is by far Moi dix Mois' heaviest album. With the introduction of K as a second guitarist, it's understandable that the music would make a sharp shift to a stronger version of metal (his secondary occupation as death vocalist helps). It's still obviously Moi dix Mois, it's just much darker this time. Even the classical aspects are darker, hinting back at Dix infernal with sinister keyboarding. Seth's vocals also help create a darker feel because his voice sounds a little more mature than Juka's did (Juka tended to make the songs sound more romantic, which fit the lyrics well too). If you're a metalhead, you need this album, and you absolutely, positively have to listen to unmoved and deus ex machina.
