Dialogue Symphonie

Dialogue Symphonie is the first single (and material in general) produced by Moi dix Mois. As with most of his material, Mana offers two tracks with vocals and then the same two tracks without. The general theme of the lyrics are, as usual, forbidden love expressed with vivid poetic imagery.

Thoughts
Dialogue Symphonie provided a very strong start for Moi dix Mois. It was different from the music Mana was writing in MALICE MIZER just months before, and it screamed the feel of the band as loudly as possibly could (though the vampire-esque costumes helped a little bit. Just a little). Moi dix Mois was dark and morbid, it was gothic, and yet it stressed beauty and aesthetics; but then it's Mana, so of course it would!
Going with the gothic vampire feel, this single features a ton of keyboarding and there's also some very epic drumming going on here. I kind of feel like I'm in a videogame duelling a total badass to the death when I listen to it (and the badass is probably a vampire and alkjdslkfjsdf I need to stop mentioning vampires on this page). Juka's deep yet gentle romantic voice balances out the busy, rockin' background pretty well and would probably be the only thing cluing you in to the idea that these are in fact love songs.
